Chopta is a bugyal (high meadow) and one of the best spots for Himalayan peak views. This is one of the most adventurous treks in Uttarakhand that any beginner can take on, covering Chopta, Tungnath and Chandrashila through hilly meadows, lush greenery and panoramic views.
It is a 4-day trip in the Garhwal Himalayas that starts at Chopta and goes up to Chandrashila, covering Tungnath Temple at 3,680 metres (12,073 ft). The difficulty is moderate and it can be completed by any beginner.

Day 1 Arrive in Rishikesh, drive to Chopta
Arrive at Yog Nagari Rishikesh railway station or the bus stand, where our representative will receive you, and we leave for Chopta on the Rishikesh - Badrinath highway.
On the way you will see the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi at Devprayag. 12 km past Srinagar is the Dhari Devi temple, where you can stop for darshan. Next is the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini at Rudraprayag, where we leave the Badrinath highway and follow the Kedarnath route. About two and a half to three hours later, you reach Chopta.
Day 2 Trek to Tungnath & Chandrashila
After an early breakfast, get ready for Tungnath. The trek starts from Chopta village, around 5 km from the campsite. In season, the white sheets of snow on both sides of the road will fascinate you. The trail is a gradual ascent through lush green meadows. Reach Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world, and take in the spiritual atmosphere and panoramic views.
From Tungnath, continue to Chandrashila peak, a moderate climb. At the summit, enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. Return to Chopta for a hot dinner and rest.
Day 3 Drive back to Rishikesh
After an early breakfast, bid farewell to Chopta and drive back to Rishikesh. Reach by late afternoon or evening and check in to your stay.
Day 4 Explore Rishikesh and depart
After breakfast, explore Rishikesh's spiritual and cultural attractions: visit the iconic Laxman Jhula, join the Ganga Aarti, or relax on the banks of the Ganges. Our transport will drop you at the Rishikesh bus stand or railway station, where your journey ends.

You must pay 30% of the booking amount to book a journey. Upon receipt of this payment, you will receive a confirmation shortly. The balance amount should be paid on the day of arrival before commencing the journey.

- Any cancellation on or before 30 days from the scheduled journey will not be deducted from the booking amount.
- For cancellations 30 to 15 days before the scheduled journey, a cancellation fee of 50% of the booking amount will be deducted.
- Cancellations within 7 days or less of the scheduled journey will attract a cancellation fee of 100% of the booking amount.
- In case of a ‘No Show’ (immediate failure without prior cancellation), no refund will be issued under any circumstances.
