Nag Tibba is 9,914 feet above sea level, making it a high-altitude area with cool temperatures. The weather in summer is generally pleasant, with temperatures ranging between 15 °C to 28 °C. After monsoon, the temperature starts coming down to 9 degrees Celsius, sometimes even reaching 5 to 10 °C. The best time to trek Nag Tiba is from December to the end of February. If one wants to see Nag Tibba covered with snow, the best time is from December to February. The temperature usually remains below 5°C during this period, sometimes reaching -1 °C.

How to Reach

By Road (Cab/Bus):-  No matter which corner of India you are in, you must reach Dehradun/Pantwari for Nag Tibba Trek. You can hire a cab directly from Dehradun to Pantwari. Alternatively, you can take a bus to Mussoorie or Nainbagh and hire a local taxi to reach Pantwari. You will find many options in local transport that transport you from Dehradun to Mussoorie to Nainbagh Market at a fixed time. The road from Nainbagh to Pantwari is not covered by daily traffic; You can leave the bus at Nainbagh and easily reach Pantwari or Bhandasari village by local cab. From Pantwari, you must follow the moderate trek to Nag Tiba, which will take you directly to Nag Tiba.

By Rail:- Dehradun Railway Station is the nearest railway station to Nag Tibba; after reaching the railway station, the bus stand is just 500 meters away, and you can easily walk to Dehradun Bus Stand, from where you can follow the road route to Nag Tibba.

By Air:- The nearest airport to Nag Tibba is Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun Airport), which is 155 km from Nag Tibba. You can hire a cab from the airport to the local bus stand in Dehradun. After reaching the Dehradun bus stand, please follow the road route to Nag Tibba.

Day 1: Arrival Day- Drive from Dehradun to Pantwari and trek to Nag Tibba Base Camp
On the morning of the first day of the Nag Tibba trek, you will reach the capital – Dehradun, at around 7:00 a.m., either by train or flight, depending on your chosen mode of transport. Take this time to acclimatise to the surrounding environment and have a hearty breakfast. Our representative will meet you, and we will embark on a picturesque drive from Dehradun to Pantwari. It usually takes around 3 to 4 hours to reach Pantwari. This route offers a beautiful view of the Himalayan foothills and the lush greenery of Uttarakhand. On reaching Pantwari, rest for a while, after which our trek guide will direct your route. You will be given trekking gear for complete safety, through which you can prepare yourself for the further trek. From here, we will embark on an exciting journey to Nag Tibba Base Camp, an exciting start to your adventure in the Himalayas. Overnight stay at Nag Tibba Base Camp.
 
Day 2: Base Camp to Nag Tibba Summit & back to campsite
On the second day, as the first light falls on the base camp of Nag Tibba, the atmosphere turns orange. After a nutritious breakfast at base camp, prepare for the Nag Tibba summit. This route takes you through enchanting forests, where the incredible mountain air smells of cedar, birch and oak. The route continues upward, and we get glimpses of the majestic Garhwal Himalayas from time to time. As you climb higher, the landscape changes, revealing snow-covered peaks and valleys below. At approximately 9,915 feet, reaching the summit is truly a thrilling experience. The panoramic views from this place are nothing short of awe-inspiring, making the adventure worthwhile. After enjoying the breathtaking views and capturing the memories through them, start descending back to the base camp. The return trip offers a different landscape perspective, allowing you to appreciate its beauty from another angle. Once back at the campsite, you can enjoy a good dinner and relax, surrounded by the tranquil embrace of the mountains, preparing for the next stage of your adventure.
 
Day 3: On the last day of the expedition – head towards Dehradun
On the last day of this exciting expedition, after a hearty breakfast, we will proceed to Pantwari. As soon as you return to Pantwari, a vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Dehradun. The return journey provides an opportunity for reflection and gratitude for the unforgettable experiences witnessed during this adventure. Finally, as you reach Dehradun, take some time to appreciate the achievement of completing the Nag Tibba trek before departing for your onward journey. It marks the conclusion of an extraordinary journey through the Garhwal Himalayas. This is where your journey ends!
 

Booking Terms: 

You must pay 30% of the booking amount to book a journey. Upon receipt of this payment, you will receive a confirmation shortly. The balance amount should be paid on the day of arrival before commencing the journey.

Cancellation Terms:

  • Any cancellation on or before 30 days from the scheduled journey will not be deducted from the booking amount.
  • For cancellations 30 to 15 days before the scheduled journey, a cancellation fee of 50% of the booking amount will be deducted.
  • Cancellations within 7 days or less of the scheduled journey will attract a cancellation fee of 100% of the booking amount.
  • In case of a ‘No Show’ (immediate failure without prior cancellation), no refund will be issued under any circumstances.

Refund Terms: If your booking is canceled, any applicable refunds will be processed within 10 business days using the original payment method.

Confirmation Policy:

  • On successful booking, customers will receive a confirmation voucher via email within 24 hours.
  • If the preferred time slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule will be arranged as per the customer’s choice, and a fresh confirmation voucher will be sent via email.

  • Cancellation 3 days before the travel date will attract a cancellation fee of 0% of the total travel cost.

Nag Tibba trek is famous for its breathtaking beauty and covers approximately 15 to 16 kilometres. This trek starts from Pantwari village and extends to Nag Devta Base with Nag Tibba Base Camp and Sunset View Point. Although this trek falls within a radius of 10 to 12 kilometres, if we talk about the places around it, it is about 15 to 16 kilometres.

The best time for the Nag Tibba trek is from April to June and December to February. The weather is pleasantly cool from April to June, with temperatures ranging between 15°C to 20°C. Snow can be easily seen after December, a dream come true for every trekker. This month offers ideal conditions for trekking, with clear skies and a mild climate, allowing trekkers to comfortably explore the beauty of the Garhwal Himalayas.

The Nag Tibba trek is considered moderately challenging. This trek is suitable for beginners, older adults, children and families. The trek involves a gradual ascent, which allows a comfortable acclimatization process. Although some sections may require effort, it does not require highly technical terrain or steep slopes. Trekkers may encounter some rocky terrain and wooded paths, but with proper speed and breaks, it is manageable for most. The duration of the trek and the availability of camping sites along the way also contribute to its accessibility.

You can complete Nag Tibba from Pantwari in one day, which will be difficult, but you can complete it in one day. Usually, it takes at least two days for the Nag Tibba trek, in which you can comfortably enjoy the beauty of Nag Tibba. It becomes difficult to cover all of them in one day, so trekkers recommend doing this trek in at least two days.
